9 great Galaxus finds I’d gift someone in a heartbeat
by Pia Seidel
A lot of people share their Muji, Ikea and Amazon finds on TikTok. Fellow editor Pia Seidel has created a similar format with Galaxus Finds. In the sixth part of this series, I share five of my favourite finds from our range.
I’d never heard of candle grips before. Have you? That was until last Christmas when I had something of a light bulb (or candle light) moment. Lumps of pre-portioned sticky wax act as an adhesive for sticking candles to various surfaces. Simply attach the grip to the bottom of the candle and place it on the stand. This makes it rock solid and ensures it won’t suddenly tip out of its holder.
Plain but pretty cardboard boxes for all sorts of bits and bobs are hard to find. They either have too much going on in terms of pattern or the colour and design aren’t up to scratch. I discovered the exception in our range. Falken’s Pure Box exudes office charm with its studs and cut-out element on the side. But it’s also just as classy in a home office. This cardboard box is perfect for storing magazines, printer paper and documents.
The ribbed plastic planters from Elho look modern and are also light as a feather, making them ideal for hanging off curtain rails using macramé or other contraptions. The slimline look is perfect for my long-suffering shelves, so they don’t have to bear any extra weight. The Vibes Fold series design is available in different colours and diameters.
Neon yellow, green, blue, pink and orange are the standard colours in a highlighter set. And I’m sick of it. Fortunately, brands like Stabilo are slowly coming round to the idea that they’ve only been dipping their toe in the water when it comes to markers. There’s more to it, as the Nature Colours set proves. The earthy shades are pretty chilled out but they still fulfil their purpose of getting you to look at marked sections again.
As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
Practical solutions for everyday problems with technology, household hacks and much more.
Show allFor a long time, I used to fold my miniskirts and shorts in half over an ordinary coat hanger. A delicate balancing act – iykyk. Stephanie Vinzens recommended skirt and trouser hangers as an alternative to my unstable construction. What a game changer. I chose Zeller Present’s lightweight, wooden model. With its neat finish, there aren’t any rough areas that could damage the fabric. What’s more, you can move the metal clips along the hanger to adjust the width. The clips come with rubber attachments to prevent your clothing getting marked.
