Galaxus election poll: what’s up in Switzerland’s greenest village?

On 22 October, Switzerland will elect a new National Council and Council of States. In the last election four years ago, one village voted for the Green Party more than any other – Oltingen in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. Is the green trend still going strong in 2023?
In 2019, almost 40% of people living in Oltingen voted for the Green Party. While rural areas tend to be SVP strongholds, Oltingen is a Green bastion. How come? And is the green trend still ongoing?
