For the beach figure: 3 new fitness gadgets from Galaxus
Dumbbell set, yoga block and fascia roller - these are the three latest additions to our own-brand range. The fitness aids are designed to impress with good quality at a fair price.
The Galaxus own-brand team will get you in shape for the summer. Want to cut a bella figura» on the beach «? We can't give you the motivation you need, but we can give you the gadgets to help you get in shape.
Dumbbells
You should know how important strength training is by now if you read our articles in the magazine. Our expert Claudio Viecelli regularly provides the latest scientific findings on the topic, for example here. Speaking of dumbbells
The Galaxus dumbbells are available in different weight classes - from one to five kilograms. Like other bestsellers, they have a hexagonal shape so that they don't roll around on the uneven parquet floor when working out in an old flat.
Each set contains a pair of dumbbells with an iron core and a non-slip PVC coating. The colour scale ranges from light grey to black; the lighter the colour, the lighter the dumbbell.
Fascia roller
If you do sport, you shouldn't neglect regeneration. Fascia has become the focus of attention in recent years. They lie between muscles, organs and other tissue. Their task: they are both a lubricant and an adhesive that should be particularly supple and elastic.
The fascia roller is a simple and effective tool for treating fascia. It can be used for regeneration after sport and is suitable for various parts of the body. For example, if you roll your calf and thigh muscles after strenuous running training with intervals, you can prevent tension and sore muscles by improving blood circulation.
The Galaxus fascia roller is made of EPP, expanded polypropylene. The foam is particularly light, yet very robust. It consists of 96 per cent air by volume. With a length of 30 centimetres and a diameter of 15 centimetres, the Galaxus roller weighs just 225 grammes.
Yoga block
Anika, the yoga expert on the editorial team, has yet to test the new yoga block from Galaxus. So I can't guarantee that it's any good. However, I can tell you that the own-brand team decided in favour of cork as the material after a discussion. It is the more sustainable option compared to foam and petroleum-based plastic.
The yoga block from Galaxus measures 8 x 15 x 23 centimetres. It is a helpful assistant for yoga poses in which you bend forwards, backwards or sideways. You can lean on it and attempt more difficult asanas. Rounded corners ensure that it feels good.
Sports socks
Yes, I announced three new fitness products in the headline. And yet I don't want to miss the opportunity to introduce you to a fourth, as a kind of bonus. The sports socks found their way into the range under the radar a few weeks ago. Many people have already bought the socks and given enthusiastic feedback on the quality - the average rating is currently 4.9 stars.
Maybe you need footwear for your next weight training session or yoga session anyway. Then take a closer look at these socks. They are produced in India and are made from 80 per cent organic cotton with an admixture of 18 per cent polyamide and two per cent elastane. This means they fit snugly yet comfortably on the foot.
This is just the beginning ...
With the dumbbells, the yoga block and the fascia roller, we are launching a small offensive with sporty Galaxus products. More are already being planned and will follow in the coming months, as I was told by the team responsible. I'm just not allowed to reveal which ones they are yet.
In the meantime, you might like to find out more about our private label strategy. I've written it down here.
