For a flirt with you: Muuto
When something catches the eye of the average person, I'm wary. When it comes to interior design, the mainstream is not my cup of tea. Muuto, a long-standing favourite, got the better of me nonetheless.
Just like those with a flirtatious flair, Muuto, the Danish design brand, also knows how to make eyes soft. In fact, its furniture and accessories, which decorate private flats and trendy restaurants, regularly attract the attention of bloggers. Don't hesitate to visit the Milan Furniture Fair, where Muuto has a stand! If that's not possible, the press will take care of relaying the highlights.
I was immediately seduced by the famous 'Dots', wooden wall hooks launched in 2007. Lars Tornøe's pencil stroke has captured the heart of the interior design scene; and with good reason, over a million Dots have already been produced, and rightly so. Although I don't like to share, these elegant hooks have found a place in my home. Why, you may ask? Well, because they represent everything that makes up Muuto's philosophy: that is, clean design that you can make your own in every room of the house.

Available in 18 sizes and a variety of colours, these hooks can be arranged in a thousand and one ways; in the hallway, for jackets, or in the bathroom, bath sheets. They add a touch of fun and can be arranged as you please, so it doesn't matter if others have them too after all.

Since January this year, they've been available in other colours - pale blue, burgundy, green beige and clay brown - as well as in a more compact size. The possibilities for combinations are thus multiplied. As well as wood, there are also metal versions. We now offer the Teo Jakob range, the entire Dots family and other items signed Muuto.

Muuto - which means new perspective in Finnish - knows how to combine traditional craftsmanship with novel materials and techniques. The design studio welcomes contemporary designers such as Sweden's Jens Fager. He turns a simple table lamp into a modern piece. He has designed powder-coated metal candlesticks with more sober lines, all in different colours. You'll notice that the shape alone makes a statement, even without the candles.

The cleaner the lines of an object and the more discreet the colours, the better it will blend into your interior. Muuto manages to do just that with its collection, particularly with the chandelier. I've been a fan of the brand for a long time, and their objects blend in with my decor.
