Favourite of the week: Boots from Moon Boot

I scroll through our fashion range every day. To give you a small but nice overview, I'm going to introduce you to a product that I like every week. Today: Moonboots.
As I do every year at this time, I ask myself the same question: Why don't I have any winter shoes? Despite my large collection, I don't own a pair that has a non-slip sole with tread or keeps my feet properly warm. Why has no designer managed to create stylish and functional boots? No wonder I'm always chattering my teeth as a vain creature outdoors. This season there's no quarter for my dog. To make sure I don't freeze my arse off when walking the dog in snow flurries at five in the morning, I need a robust model, one like "Glance" from Moon Boot.

The Italian Tecnica Group, which launched the space-age boot on the market in the 70s, is behind the trend. The boots, which are inspired by astronaut shoes, are still celebrated today for their unconventional look. You either love them or you hate them. Because they are just as visually controversial as UGG boots, which keep your feet warm but, unlike moon boots, are not primarily made for winter. "Glance", on the other hand, is not only designed to withstand temperatures down to -35° Celsius, but also scores with a non-slip rubber tread and water-repellent Cordura. This is a hard-wearing textile made from nylon fibres.
In my mind, I can see myself trudging through the snow in a metallic-look model. Without running the risk of crash-landing when I'm chasing after my puppy.
