The Bambino Mio cloth nappies tested
by Anne Fischer

If you attach particular importance to the smallest possible CO2 footprint when buying nappies, then Pingo nappies might be something for you.
Disposable nappies and sustainability? That doesn't have to be a contradiction in terms, at least when it comes to the Pingo brand from Switzerland. The company is launching a new generation of its eco nappies on the market, which you can now find in several monthly packs in the shop.
The brand has completely revised its size range. You can now find nappies from size 0 for premature babies to size 7 for older children. The previous sizes have also been adapted:
The manufacturer also promises greater absorbency and improved leakage protection.
Sustainable production is particularly noteworthy. According to Pingo, it relies entirely on green energy for its production. The raw material used is cellulose from sustainable cultivation, which is bleached without chlorine.
From the raw material to the finished nappy, the manufacturer does not use any animal testing, which is why the nappies are also certified as vegan. The Oeko-Tex label also confirms that the materials used are free from harmful substances.
The company offsets the remaining CO2 emissions through certified Myclimate projects, making the nappies climate-neutral.
