The "Easy Fry Infrared" from Tefal combines classic hot air with infrared technology. The aim is to cook food faster and make it crispier.

Hot air fryers are the best-selling kitchen appliances. No wonder: they can do almost everything you can do with an oven, but require much less energy and work faster. In my experience, you can't do without oil completely for crispy fries or fried chicken, but you only need a little.

The special feature of the «Easy Fry Infrared» is the combination of two heat sources. Infrared heat is applied to the food from above. In addition, hot air circulates from the conduction heat source. According to Tefal, this combination ensures even results.

Tefal cites time savings as a key advantage of the new technology. The food is said to be ready twice as quickly in this airfryer compared to other models from the manufacturer.

Programmes and capacity

You can choose between seven programmes with this appliance: Frying, roasting, grilling, reheating, toasting, baking and drying. The 7-litre cooking basket holds up to 1.5 kilograms of chicken or 1.2 kilograms of fries. You can watch the cooking process without opening the basket thanks to a viewing window.

The non-stick coated cooking basket is dishwasher-safe. The appliance measures 31 × 31.5 × 39.6 centimetres (W × H × D). For safety reasons, you should allow a distance of between ten and fifteen centimetres from cupboards or other kitchen appliances.
