digitec and Galaxus are now offering quantity discounts on products such as shampoo, razor blades, printer ink and more. As a result, the price of thousands of products under 50 Swiss francs decreases significantly.

More than half of the digitec and Galaxus range consists of products with a sales price of less than 50 francs. Due to the relatively high costs in logistics, offering these products at attractive prices is a challenge. After all, storage, packaging, sending or transfer to our stores cost about the same for any product, regardless of whether it's a laptop or flower soil.

For this reason, we've introduced bulk prices for about 300 product types, such as memory cards, Lego kits, razor blades or copy paper. The concept is simple: the more identical products you place in your shopping cart, the more attractive the price is. A maximum quantity discount is defined for each product.

For example, while a single memory card costs 28 francs, the price of four cards drops to 22 francs per card. «Quantity discounts allow us to offer our customers much more favourable deals for low-price products», says Stefan Müller, Chief Technology Officer of Digitec Galaxus.

In the coming months, digitec and Galaxus will extend the quantity discount to further product types. The goal is to offer customers discounts on several hundred thousand products.
