Catrice cosmetic tape will transform your eyeliner game!

You don’t need magic powers to get super sharp eyeliner. You don’t need an art degree or hours of practice either. You just need the right tool to take a shortcut.

Make-up looks on social media can be really intimidating. The winged eyeliner we see on our screens is so precise and practically perfect. For years, I thought talent and practice would give me the same results. But there are shortcuts, such as taping, which get you there in a flash.

How it works

The idea’s a simple one: place a piece of tape at the same angle at the outer corner of each eye, then just apply eyeshadow or liner before peeling off the tape. Easy, right? Basically, you could use ordinary adhesive strips from your office drawer. But I find them too wide and too stiff, so they’re uncomfortable and can cut into the skin. Not to mention that you can barely blink with them on.

So, I recently bought Catrice’s Magic Perfectors Cosmetic Tape. It’s thin, flexible and especially designed to apply to skin. The tape feels substantial and it’s easy to tear off or cut pieces, depending on whether you’re in a rush or not.

Tip: I recommend applying the tape before your concealer and foundation, so doing your eye make-up before your base. Otherwise you could peel it off when you take off the tape, leaving unwanted patches at the outer corners of your eyes.

Sometimes it’s the details that make or break a hairstyle or make-up look. In my Blazing Beauty Tips series, I share useful techniques with you that I’ve either learned through my own experience or copied from the pros.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
