Bored during the summer holidays? How to keep your kids busy!

"I'm bored!" All parents probably hear this from their children from time to time - especially during the summer holidays. The weeks can suddenly become very long, especially if you stay at home with your family. After all, there is no longer a fixed programme of activities for the children at school. Suddenly the only real activity seems to be watching TV. These ideas will help you fight bored children.
Exploring in the forest
The forest is always something special for children. There is so much to discover there: animals, plants, winding paths and maybe even a stream. A day in the forest is both an adventure and relaxation - for children and parents alike.
With the products from Scout, your children will become little explorers. In the insect house, butterflies, beetles, etc. can be transported home directly from the forest walk. At home in the garden, the children can then scrutinise the animals and observe them more closely. This keeps the little ones busy for a few days after the trip to the forest.
Gardening
If you planted a garden bed together with your children in spring, you can probably already harvest, eat or process something. Maybe the children will even help you with weeding and watering. With their own gardening tools, they will hopefully even be motivated to do so.
Drawing outside
"Chridele" is boring too? Not with these beautiful mandala stencils! Your children can draw real works of art with their crayons. One pack contains five giant stencils, which can be combined as desired. This should keep your children busy for a while - at least until the next downpour.
Playing social games
If it does rain for days on end during the summer holidays, the TV will be even more tempting. Then it's time to open the cupboard with the board games. In this games magazine, you have 35 games to choose from in one go. And a round of Monopoly takes so long that the afternoon goes by in a flash.
Camping in the garden
You don't have to travel far for a camping holiday. Children can enjoy an adventure holiday if they can simply pitch their tent in the garden. And the best thing about it: if it rains or if the children get scared outside, they can simply hop into their own bed.
Grilling for the little ones
When the weather is nice, you'll probably be barbecuing outside a lot these weeks. Naturally, the little ones will want to help. Instead of constantly keeping the children from touching the hot barbecue, they can play with their own model. And there's even a meal to go with it. If the little grill masters are a little older, let them actually help prepare, cook, set and clear the table.
Water fight
A cooling programme is needed for hot days. Whether you want to splash around in the pool or have a water fight, here are some tips for refreshing yourself at home.

I love the strategy game “The Settlers of Catan”, the Ravensburger puzzle “Colourful Cupcakes” and the pink fluffy unicorn that sits on my desk (a birthday present from my workmates). Not only do I have a weakness for toys, I also get excited about good food and comedy TV shows.
