Tent
If you like to spend the night in the open air, you need the right tent. The main criterion is the space: How many people should stay in the tent? You will find all imaginable models, from a one-person tent to a large tent for seven people. Apart from the size, the weight is also important: If you have to carry the tent for a longer period of time - for example on a trekking tour lasting several days - you want a light tent. In any case, it is advisable to make sure that the tent is waterproof. This is because even the morning dew settles on a tent roof and, in the worst case, can penetrate inside. The water column indicates the intensity of the coating of a tent. 1000mm water column means that a 1m high, filled water cylinder could stand on the surface of 1x1cm before the water drips through. To avoid condensation on the inside of the tent, good ventilation of the tent is important.
Tents also differ in form and function: you will find in our assortment throw tents, tunnel tents, dome tents, expedition tents, inflatable tents, tree tents, roof tents, bus tents, awnings and beach tents. The throw or pop-up tent unfolds itself in seconds by simply throwing it into the air. When packed, it is folded up as a flat disc and has a rather large packing size. Tunnel tents are modern lightweight tents with parallel pole arches that are anchored to the ground with pegs. They are less stable than dome tents, but usually lighter and offer more usable space. The poles of dome or igloo tents are diagonally crossed. It is particularly resistant in bad weather and can be erected without bracing. Expedition tents are built for extreme conditions and are therefore extremely resistant and stable. The poles cross several times, which divides the outer tent area into smaller areas. Inflatable tents can be inflated in a single operation, quickly and on any surface, with the air distributing itself into separate chambers. They are stable and withstand rain and wind very well.
