Bikini guide: Which model suits your figure?

Clothes don't just make the man, they also make you look like you've lost - or gained - a few kilos. It's not so easy to do this by the pool. I'll tell you how to cut a better figure while swimming.
There's a thing about two-pieces: for the little bit of fabric they're known for, you can do a hell of a lot wrong. This is annoying as you want to cut a good figure when (sun)bathing in the pool or at the lake. But there's not much you can hide there. Whether you want to conceal or emphasise your curves, these tricks will show off your body in the best light.
With a flat bust:
Congratulations! When it comes to tops, the choice is yours: the more eye-catching, the better. If you don't want to go for styles with a push-up effect, then go for wild patterns and details such as ruffles, fringes or gathers, as they will make you look bigger. For the cut, I recommend a halterneck, triangle or balconette bikini - alternatively: lots of flounces.
With a large bust:
Do you have a large bust and don't want to show it off? Too bad, but here are my tips: Go for tops in muted or dark solid colours. Avoid flashy prints and eye-catching details. You can distract attention away from your upper body with wow panties. A bandeau top may make your bust look flatter, but it won't give you the support you need for physical activity - or do you want to emerge from the water without a bikini top? Exactly! For this, I recommend a top with a supportive cup with strong underbust support.
With a small tummy:
Unfortunately, I'm not quite as disciplined as I would like to be: If I've indulged in one too many ice creams, I reach for a pair of high-cut panties with a retro look, which visually shapes the figure and makes the tummy look like less. Tankinis that look like spaghetti tops are also ideal. Thanks to them, my discipline takes a dip in the second round of ice cream at the latest...
For wide hips:
The principle is the same here: if you want to conceal something, go for dark solid colours and focus on the top. Avoid anything bulky. You can't really go wrong with a classic brief model. The higher the leg cut, the longer your legs will look. Panties that you have to tie on the side make your hips look wider.
With a flat backside:
If you want to fake a round bum, go for a colourful look: wild patterns and ruffles - yes, you've understood the principle now - make it look like more. Horizontal stripes, low-rise hipster bottoms and briefs with lace-up sides are particularly good. Sports bikinis, on the other hand, make your body look even more androgynous.
3 care tips for your two-piece:
Sunbathing: Even if it's extremely tempting to bask in the sun: never leave your bikini in the sun to dry, otherwise the colour will fade.
Washing dirty laundry: It is best to rinse your bikini with clear water the same evening and wash it by hand straight away. Chlorine and salt water can damage the material. Tumble drying is taboo, as is hanging it up when wet! To prevent the fabric from stretching out, lay it on a terry towel to dry.
Wolf in sheep's clothing: Your skin's greatest friend is also your bikini's greatest enemy: to avoid stains on the fabric, you should let the sun cream soak in before getting dressed. This will prevent yellow stains that are difficult to wash out again.
