It's in the box
by Pia Seidel

It's a long wait for cardboard and paper to be collected in my Zurich neighbourhood. But I've found a way around it, opting for bins and waste bins that allow me to hide waste elegantly.
This hull-shaped waste bin shines with its aesthetic appeal. Delicate pastel shade or metallic look, the only thing that matters is that it blends in with the rest of the room. There are pedal-operated or hand-operated models with a flat rear surface that allows them to sit discreetly against a wall, or waste bins with rounded receptacles that are sure to seduce with their organic shape.

It's easier to bundle letters, receipts and other loose papers when they're placed in a collector like the one for newspapers. Prefer a rectangular-shaped one in A4 minimum to a rounded one. Before stacking the paperwork, place a large sheet of paper at the bottom as a base. Baskets and grids will work perfectly, as they are openwork, making it easier to remove the paper.

Cardboard
As cardboard is generally clean, you're free to choose any container you like. Or why not hijack a laundry basket? They come in different shapes and materials such as felt, cotton or even rattan. Baskets with handles for hanging and those with lids will do just fine. Another option? Wooden baskets for collecting cardboard.
