Assumption Day: delivery delay due to public holiday and warehouse expansion

Our central warehouse in Wohlen will be closed on 15 August 2025 due to the public holiday – Assumption Day. We’re also working on the expansion of our warehouse. Therefore, orders placed around 15 August are likely to be delivered one to two days later than usual. Thank you for your understanding.

On 15 August, several cantons, including Aargau, are celebrating Assumption Day. This public holiday means the logistics crew at our central warehouse in Wohlen are getting a well-deserved break. Our otherwise busy warehouse will be closed on Friday and will reopen on Saturday. This means all orders placed on 15 August – be it mobile phones, nappies, vacuum cleaners or air conditioning units – will be delivered with a delay of one to two working days.

We’re also working on a big warehouse expansion. This will make sure we’re equipped for all your Christmas gift orders during the busy season starting in autumn. Due to the expansion work, orders might not be processed on the same day as usual over the next two weeks. We’ve updated the delivery times in the shop to reflect this and are doing everything we can to offer you next-day delivery again as soon as possible.

Thanks for your understanding. We hope you enjoy the public holiday. Our team in Wohlen will be back on Saturday 16 August and will process your orders as quickly as possible.

Making sure employees and media know what's up at Digitec Galaxus is my job. But without fresh air and a lot of exercise, I basically stop functioning. The great outdoors provides me with the energy I need to stay on the ball. Jazz gives me the tranquility to tame my kids.
