As a woman, I have stubble on my face

More and more women around me are shaving their entire face. Four weeks ago, I took the plunge and have not regretted it so far.
I've finally shaved. On my face, mind you. And no, I didn't have a visible moustache before this. Half a year ago, I was still thinking back and forth about whether I should get rid of my fluff and recorded my thoughts on this in the following article: [[marketingpage:8944]]
I decided against it at the time for fear of my hair growing back darker. Recently, however, I came across this video by beauty YouTuber Jaclyn Hill and decided to give it a go. I bought a "face shaver", a razor blade specially designed for the face, and started shaving on my cleansed skin. I meticulously followed the instructions from Jaclyn's tutorial.
Now I want to share my experience with you, because the courage was worth it.
And the cut
If I had known that I had so much fuzz on my face, I would probably have reached for the razor sooner. As I glide the blade over my skin for the first time, I immediately notice a positive side effect: exfoliated skin. The shaver not only removes my hairs, but also dead skin cells. So far, this is the most effective type of exfoliation I've ever done on myself. The difference is particularly noticeable on my nose and cheeks. Immediately after the procedure, my skin is slightly red and feels sore, so I immediately apply shea butter. My face is now baby soft.
Caution: If you have sensitive skin, I would advise against shaving.

Why I would do it again
The day after, I can already feel the first stubble. A little unusual, but not tragic. The skin looks firmer, smoother and even more radiant. This is probably because the fine hairs were responsible for a mattifying effect. The make-up I apply looks much more even on shaved skin than I am used to. It is also much easier to spread and work into the skin. The downside: I notice that my foundation doesn't stay on my skin as long because it can no longer "cling" to the hairs. I compensate for this shortcoming by using more powder to set everything.
After about a week, the hairs have grown so much that the stubble is no longer noticeable. I have since repeated the procedure. To this day, four weeks after the first hair removal, there is still no sign of darker hairs growing back. So everything is still in the blonde area. It's clear to me that the blade on my face will become an integral part of my skincare routine. Because freshly shaved, I like myself a little better these days.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
