Another six-pack this summer?

A beautiful, flat washboard stomach: not a topic for some, but for others it has long been an unattainable goal. For many men in particular, the six-pack look is right at the top of their wish list. And more and more women also want gently defined and toned abs. We'll show you how to fulfil your dream of a six-pack.
Sit-ups and crunches - tried and tested and efficient
Sit-ups and crunches are probably the most popular abdominal exercises. Sit-ups are done with the legs on the floor, while crunches are done in the air. Both exercises not only strengthen the abdominal muscles, but also the lumbar spine if performed correctly. Why is this important? If you want a six-pack, you also need a strong back. The abdomen and back are counterparts when it comes to stabilising the torso. Together, they ensure a beautiful centre.
The good thing about these exercises: Apart from a comfortable training mat, you don't need any training equipment. The Tunturi mat is very suitable thanks to its high density and is also easy to wash off. A beach towel is often sufficient for travelling. You can intensify the exercise with weights. Small equipment for abdominal training
For a beautiful, defined abdomen, you should train all the muscles involved. This means not only the straight abdominal muscles, but also the lateral and lower abdominal muscles and the lumbar spine. Specialised small machines such as the Speed ABS from Iron Gym or the abdominal trainer from Tunturi are suitable for training the lateral muscles.
Holistic training
In principle, it is advisable to train and strain not only your abdominal muscles but also the muscles in the rest of your body. With multifunctional training equipment, such as a weight station, you can train not only your abdominal area but also your arms, chest, back, legs and bum.
Your personal six-pack trainer in your pocket
If you like doing workouts, there are cool apps that put together different exercises for you in the form of videos and pictures. My personal favourite is the "Runtastic Six Pack" app. It offers workout videos, training plans and much more specifically designed for the six-pack. The Basic app is free and can be downloaded for Android, Apple and Windows.
