Add finishing touches to your home with these wall lamps
Lamps are the secret stars of your home. Unassuming but essential, they don’t only spread light, but act as classy decoration at the same time. Wall lamps are great to add that touch of style to your walls and create a warm atmosphere in any room. Read on to find out which wall lamps go with which area of your home.
There’s one home accessory I just can’t get enough of: lamps in any shape, size and colour. Ceiling lights, table lamps, wall lights – lamps do so much more than spread light. That’s why I pay attention to every detail when I choose lamps for my home. I carefully decide where to place them and install them with the help of my handyman (thank you!). Lamps bring pure joy to my life and I’d like to share this joy with you.
How wall lamps add a touch of class to these living areas:
Reading corner: You don’t want your desk, armchair or sofa area to be flooded with light, but you’ll need a small and defined radius of light to read a book, magazine or newspaper. Flexible lampshades and fixed mounted lamps are suitable for your reading corner, as your heavy sofa isn’t likely to be moved around much.
Bedroom: Install wall lamps next to your bed and your bedside table gets more attention and offers space for books of any size. If you enjoy reading before you go to sleep and you’re sharing the bed, go for flexible lights – these can be pointed directly at your book and won’t keep your bed partner from sleeping.

Kitchen: Install good lights in your kitchen and you’ll be able to work your magic in a precise and safe way. Go for a wall lamp that fits above your kitchen worktop and illuminates the surface you work on.
Entrance: An entrance lamp spreads warm light and helps you find your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. You don’t need to switch on the main light; a soft light is more pleasant when you’ve just woken up. Besides, you’re sure to know the way around your home inside out anyway.

Make sure there’s an electric socket close enough to where you’re thinking of installing a lamp. Some wall lamps only work if they’re connected to the mains supply. Alternatively, you can opt for a mobile cable solution with a plug if no socket is available.
