A superb bathroom, even in a rented flat
There are some things that make all rental flats look the same. Bathrooms are one of them. To find out what you can do about it, read this article!
The bathrooms in flats in suburban areas are as similar as two drops of water, because the choice of sanitary fittings for this type of housing is limited. I know this because I used to work for interior designers sourcing products. I quickly realised that only a handful of manufacturers offered anything remotely daring. The occupants don't really show much originality either, judging by the eternal chrome steel toilet paper dispensers and towel rails and the same old white toilet covers. Simple, uncluttered, that's what it boils down to. But fed up, I ended up consigning some of these items, such as the standard hooks, to the cellar.

Don't like bathroom accessories in your rented accommodation? Never mind, I've picked out a number of matching items for you that are brilliantly different. First of all, choose a new toilet paper holder as a starting point! Then opt for storage units in an identical colour or material to this one to create a reminder and, de facto, a certain coherence to the whole.
Gold

In contrast to the coldness of metal, the gold of bathroom accessories brings both elegance and warmth. Unlike the others, the toilet paper holder from Ferm Living is made from brass and stained oak. Its shape, too, stands out from the uniformity thanks to its geometric, filigree form. Combine it with small pieces of furniture such as wooden shelves or stools and your bathroom will look its best.

The House Doctor variant plays the gilt card. It shines with a simple silhouette that can be combined with other brass elements. To break up the ensemble, which you'll agree is necessary, you can choose fabric coat hooks. The result? A cosy space that stands out from the crowd.
Dark as night
The "Orbit" series from House Doctor offers bathroom accessories that aren't recognisable as such, at first glance at least. Weave and shape bring a bohemian touch to the bathroom. Baskets made from plant materials such as bamboo or raffia are all the rage.

If you're going for the industrial look, opt for a raw, unconventional toilet roll dispenser such as "Cast" in black powder-coated cast iron with a sloping roll holder. To make dark materials stand out, don't hesitate to use colours and materials such as wood for all the other accessories in your bathroom!
All in white

Washbasins and toilets are generally white. If you want to maintain this monochrome style, and even sublimate it, why not hang a toilet paper dispenser, such as the "Via" model that stores two rolls at a time? What do you need in such an environment? Plenty of wood and textiles for a cosy touch. Otherwise, your bathroom risks looking too sterile.
The "Text" paper holder stands out for its design and is even reduced to the essentials. Its matt surface elicits a sense of fullness compared to reflective metal objects.
Silver
When the material is classic, the shape has to be original: for example, the 'Tucan' stand by Umbra gives the impression of seeing a bird, doesn't it? It literally gobbles up rolls of paper, as you can see in this video, up to six of them, to be exact, without giving up the aesthetic aspect for all that.
