A child's bedroom doesn't necessarily have to be decorated in a typically childish, pink or blue colour scheme. Alexandra Meyer, a Galaxus employee, shows us how. She has opened up her perspective and pimped up a few baby items with stylish homeware.

Sleeping area

With a white, neutral-coloured cot, a floor lamp and selected accessories, Alexandra has brought a lot of calm to the sleeping area. If it's too plain for you, you can add further eye-catchers with other colourful accessories such as a sleeping bag, bed linen or soft toys.

Changing area

0815 Changing table? Not a chance with Alexandra. She showcases her grandmother's heirloom - an old three-legged wooden table - which she has lovingly embellished with a changing mat, a storage basket and a rectangular flower pot. Nappies, muslin cloths, wet wipes and creams are therefore quickly to hand. Underneath the changing table, she has placed a colourful rug and a large storage basket, which can be used for used nappies or dirty clothes as required.

Cupboard area

There are two decorative elements on the cabinet. One is a hand-woven basket for additional storage and the other is a lamp for indirect lighting in the room. Discreet and/or coloured coat hangers provide the necessary order in the room.

Decorative elements

In order to decorate the room, Alexandra has used trendy homeware in pastel colours. This creates a cosy atmosphere for child and parents. The selected baby items, such as the cute slide car or the bunting, add a childlike touch.

Replacement

The cupboard is a refurbished second-hand item, the table is an heirloom from grandma, the pictures are a gift from friends and the storage baskets are a souvenir from the Philippines. Alternatively, I can suggest the following Galaxus items to complete the nursery look: [[product:5633538,5738885,5639648]] [[product:9253245,9252264,6366209]] [[product:7002514,7808065,2369325]]
