2-in-1 solution: a riser becomes a leash

Leashes attach to your leg, then connect you to your SUP board to provide safety. On land, however, they often get in the way. Thankfully, Indiana has developed a solution in which they play a supporting role as well.
Sometimes the treck to the water is further than expected. You’ve just pumped up your SUP and optimistically tucked it under your arm, and already the leash is dragging on the ground and the shifting wind makes you look like you’re staggering towards the lakeshore five shots deep. Most of the time, these are small problems that can be handled with a little organisation and practice. With time, you know what belongs where. Still, it would be even better if nothing annoyed you from the start. Better no problems than small ones.
A carrying strap ensures that you have your hands free and can take stabilising action when necessary. However, you’ll be lugging around one more accessory. This is where Indiana’s idea comes in: If you have the leash with you anyway, a few adjustments can make it a carrying strap.

This requires a lasso loop pulled over the board’s front and a little extra leash. Mounted for carrying, the weight of your board thus rests well padded on your shoulder. At the water’s edge, you can easily turn the riser into an elastic leash, attach it to your leg and you’re ready to go. The combo solution is available in three sizes for boards from 10'6 to 12'6 in length. A component that was previously at most in the way during transport thus becomes useful. And you can save your energy for the water.
