Product details
Our development team has designed this warm fleece jacket for sailing trips with maximum comfort in cool, damp weather (7 to 10 °C). Lightweight and warm with a high collar, this jacket provides insulation against the cold at sea as well as along the coast. The mesh structure of the fleece material traps air for natural insulation to retain body heat. The brushed inner side helps to trap air, offering a pleasantly soft and warm wearing experience.
This material has been tested in the lab at a comfort temperature of 7 to 10 °C. Wind can enhance the feeling of cold, so you can wear a windproof, waterproof jacket over it if needed. The high stand-up collar retains body heat, and the close-fitting collar design prevents wind from entering. It has a slightly looser cut for unrestricted movement and maneuvering. You can wear this fleece over a T-shirt or polo shirt and under your jacket if you choose your usual size.
The breathability of this fleece jacket corresponds to its ability to wick moisture away from the body. It is measured in RET (Resistance Evaporative Transfer) according to ISO 11092 standards. The RET index describes a resistance: the lower the value, the more breathable the fabric. RET 6 to 9: extremely breathable, 10–13: very breathable, 14–17: breathable, 18–20: slightly breathable, > 20: not breathable. RET fleece 100 < 12.
