Product details

The "Skull and Sword" Artwork: The "Skull & Sword" deck by Rodriguez was the first graphic produced by Powell-Peralta for a pro deck. The graphic was designed in 1979 by Ray Rodriguez and illustrated by V.C. Johnson, with artistic direction by George Powell. It was initially released in two different shapes: a 10" x 30" "Widetail" version and a 10" x 28.5" "Snub Nose," in "Brite-Lite" Dayglo Yellow, Orange, Purple, and Green. In the following years, it was produced in various colors and featured a Powell-Peralta logo. In 1983, Ray's signature was removed and replaced with a Powell-Peralta word logo. The graphic was also used for T-shirts and stickers. Originally released: 1979. Artwork by: Vernon Courtlandt Johnson. Features: Logo T-shirt with screen print, large graphic on the back and small graphic on the left chest, screen-printed inner label, 100% cotton, soft-spun jersey (5.5oz), standard fit for adults.
