Product details
The Seeland Heat Vest is made from a lined, lightweight fabric with side stretch membranes. The heat-reflective lining prevents heat loss and enhances the effect of the integrated heat membranes. The high collar is lined with soft fleece. Integrated heat membranes are located in areas of the upper body that are particularly sensitive to cold – between the shoulder blades and in the lower back. Using the accompanying smartphone app, these heat membranes can be adjusted to a desired temperature between 30 and 52 °C as needed. Additionally, the membranes can also be set to 38, 46, or 52 °C without a smartphone or app using the button on the chest. Unlike older heating technologies on the market, the heat membranes of the Seeland Heat Vest are flexible enough to allow the vest to be easily folded. The vest can also be machine washed without concern. A waterproof USB stick is located in the right pocket of the vest, allowing a power bank to be connected if desired or needed. With a 10,000 mAh power bank, the vest can maintain the highest temperature of 52 °C for about 7 hours at outside temperatures of 0 °C. To save energy, the heat membranes automatically switch to standby mode once the vest reaches the desired temperature. They will then turn back on by themselves if the temperature drops 1-2 degrees below the set level. The vest thus has a temperature-regulating function: the heat membranes automatically turn off when the body produces a lot of heat during high activity and turn back on when standing still or sitting. The vest features an inner pocket and two side pockets, and it can be stored in the included waterproof dry bag.
