The Cardprotector is the central element of all Secrid products. The finely crafted aluminum case is not only visually appealing but also protects your cards with RFID chips from unwanted scanning. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is integrated into the latest bank and ID cards and is used for wireless communication. While convenient, personal data or even monetary amounts can be easily scanned without your knowledge. The Cardprotector blocks this wireless communication: you no longer have to worry about the involuntary release of your valuable data on identity cards, credit and debit cards, or company IDs! To use it, simply slide the card partially out of the Cardprotector. This weakens the RFID signal, but it is still sufficient to enable wireless communication.
