The Cardprotector is the central element of all Secrid products. The finely crafted aluminum case is not only an eye-catcher but also protects your cards with RFID chips from unwanted scanning. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is built into the latest bank and ID cards and is used for wireless communication. While convenient, personal data or even monetary amounts can be easily read without your knowledge. The Cardprotector blocks this wireless communication: You no longer need to worry about the involuntary release of your valuable data on ID cards, credit and debit cards, or company IDs! To use it, simply slide the card partially out of the Cardprotector. This way, the RFID signal is weak but sufficient to enable wireless communication.
