The Saltoro Jacket for men offers comprehensive weather protection while remaining lightweight. Mountain Equipment equips the hardshell with a 2.5-layer GORE-TEX® Paclite membrane, with the most stressed areas reinforced with a 3-layer laminate and a robust 75D fabric. The outer material is completely waterproof and breathable. In terms of features, the Saltoro Jacket meets all the requirements of an alpine rain jacket. The fully adjustable hood is helmet-compatible, and the pockets are positioned higher for easy access even when wearing a closed backpack hip belt. Underarm ventilation optimizes airflow during physical exertion, and the cut allows for full freedom of movement. The front is slightly shorter to facilitate climbing or running in a rope team without hindrance. Despite all the technology that Mountain Equipment has integrated into this jacket, it also performs excellently in everyday situations or on moderate hiking trips.
