Product details
In stop-and-go activities such as ski mountaineering, alpine climbing, or climbing, climate control is very important. Phases of intense physical activity are often followed by phases where there is a risk of hypothermia. Our thermoregulating Ortles Hybrid TirolWool® Responsive jacket is designed to meet the specific insulation needs of different body zones during high-dynamic activities in cold conditions, while the robust Durastretch inserts make it ideal for rough alpine activities.
Hybrid design meets hybrid insulation – TirolWool® Responsive is our proprietary lightweight insulation fabric that combines innovative, thermoactive mineral-reinforced polyester fibers with wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep. The heat emitted by the body is absorbed and converted into infrared radiation, which is stored and reflected, keeping you warm for longer. TirolWool® Responsive is waterproof, breathable, and keeps you pleasantly warm even when wet.
The adjustable, insulated hood at the back provides additional protection. And since the jacket can be packed down compactly, it fits into any backpack and can be worn under any hardshell jacket.
