Alpine mixed routes on rock, ice, and snow are among the most challenging endeavors in mountaineering, whether in the Dolomites or in the most remote corners of the world. In such activities, we must rely entirely on our clothing to ideally protect our bodies from fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures.

This revised model of our proven Ortles Hybrid TirolWool® Responsive jacket impresses with its tested hybrid body mapping structure. Durastretch inserts are used on the back and sides, which are particularly comfortable to wear thanks to the wool content (22 percent) and ensure freedom of movement through the elastane. Additionally, there are strategically placed insulation areas made from TirolWool® Responsive that provide excellent thermoregulation and keep you warm even when wet.

The TirolWool® Responsive material used consists of valuable wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep, and the insulation material is refined with responsive yarns. These yarns contain thermoreactive minerals that recycle the far-infrared energy emitted by the body and release it slowly, creating lasting warmth. In stormy weather or extreme cold, the snug, insulated hood, which is adjustable at the neck, provides additional weather protection. When temperatures rise or intensity increases, the jacket can be quickly stowed away in its own pocket.

As part of the Salewa Committed collection, the jacket features a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating. Furthermore, the Durastretch material is made from 22 percent fine merino wool, ensuring a comfortable feel against the skin.
