Product details
The Ortles Durastretch Softshell Jacket is inspired by the mighty Ortler, which features the largest ice wall in the Eastern Alps. It is designed for changeable autumn, winter, and spring conditions.
Its breathable softshell fabric offers excellent weather protection and thermal comfort, while the free-motion cut guarantees full freedom of movement and prevents the hem from riding up while climbing. The jacket is made from Schoeller®-Naturetec, a unique, lightweight, PFC-free fabric that combines robust, partially recycled polyamide functional fibers with a natural merino wool blend on the inside, making it feel incredibly comfortable against the skin. In the shoulder area, we use a Durastretch ripstop structure to enhance durability. The Direct Access System allows for quick and easy access to your avalanche transceiver or the layers underneath. Together with our athletes, we have developed and tested a new under-helmet hood design with a high, strap-compatible collar. The straps are inserted through two hidden openings on either side of the collar and can be fastened directly under the chin. The front zipper is easy to operate, and the hood moves with your head, providing an improved field of vision.
This Salewa Committed model also features a PFC-free DWR coating.
