The new Ortles Alpine Merino Jacket is named after one of the most popular summit destinations in the Eastern Alps: the 3,905-meter-high Ortler – the highest peak in South Tyrol. This lightweight, breathable hybrid fleece jacket has been specifically designed for alpine (ski) high tours.
The athletic cut of the jacket is based on the body mapping principle, allowing different areas of the body to be supplied with the right material. Our Alpine Merino Fleece serves as the main material, which is particularly warm, quick-drying, and offers high wearing comfort. Thanks to the high elastane content, the fabric features a four-way stretch. For additional weather protection, the robust, wind-resistant Durastretch outer material on the front and shoulders is equipped with a PFC-free DRW finish (Durable Water Repellent).
The ergonomic design ensures a high degree of freedom of movement, especially during demanding activities on ice, traditional mountaineering, or ski touring. To protect against abrasion or tears, particularly abrasion-resistant Polarlite Wool inserts with durable Cordura® are located on the shoulders and sleeves. The high collar with soft inner lining and the cuffs with integrated thumb loops provide comfort in windy and cold conditions. The two large zippered chest pockets securely store small items.
The Ortles Alpine Merino Jacket for women is an innovative, functional hybrid wool fleece suitable for all alpine activities.
