The outer material features a water-repellent and windproof ripstop nylon fabric, which is additionally equipped with a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment. TirolWool® uses wool from Tyrolean sheep farmers, which is combed and dyed in a workshop in Italy. The TirolWool® insulation is then enhanced with thermoreactive responsive minerals: Responsive is a blend of thermoreactive minerals that are pulverized and melted into a resin, which is then incorporated into the core of recycled polyester fibers. This gives the fabric the ability to convert, store, and gradually release the body's radiant heat as infrared light.
