The insulation, made of high-quality goose down with an 800 cuin fill power, is also water-resistant due to its treatment. A total of 170 grams of premium insulation ensures effective heat retention and keeps the body warm even in biting frost. For activities like ice climbing, where sweating can occur, Rab uses synthetic fibers instead of down in certain areas: the hood and sleeve cuffs of the Valiance Jacket are made with this material to be more resistant to moisture. The jacket impresses with small details as well: the toggles on the back of the hood and at the hem are slightly larger, making them easier to use even with thick winter gloves.
