The new design also incorporates "smart" insulation. The zoned micro and nano chambers keep the down securely in place, preventing migration and ensuring better warmth without additional weight, bulk, or restricted freedom of movement. The vest is suitable for everyday wear as well as part of a layering system in the mountains, complemented by a weather-resistant DWR finish, two large, harness-compatible zippered hand pockets, a warm, down-filled collar, and a hem with drawcord. The new Microlight women's vest combines fantastically low weight, top warmth, and good freedom of movement, making it easy to throw on when it gets a bit colder.
