This waterproof jacket from Quechua is designed for little adventurers and provides reliable weather protection.

This model is made from waterproof material and features sealed seams at the shoulders and hood.

1. Machine wash (30 to 40 °C): Close Velcro and zippers, use mild detergent. Wash jackets and pants inside out. Loosen straps and elastic bands.
2. Do not excessively fold the garment in the machine to preserve it.
3. Do not mix different types and colors of clothing.
4. Do not bleach and do not use fabric softener.
5. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, spin gently.
6. Dry on a line or in the machine (lowest temperature, short program).

The RET test method (Resistance to Evaporative Transfer) is used to measure the breathability of a material. This refers to the material's ability to transfer moisture vapor generated by the body to the outside, keeping the skin dry. The smaller the RET value, the more breathable the material. RET ≤ 6: very breathable, RET ≤ 12: breathable, RET ≤ 20: hardly breathable.

Tested for abrasion resistance: In the lab, we test whether the fleece fabric pills. Color fastness test: The color fastness is carefully checked to prevent bleeding upon contact with saliva. Wash fastness test: Repeated washing should not affect the properties, behavior, density, and appearance of the fabric.

The resistance of a material to water pressure is expressed in mm water column (Standard JIS 1092). The higher the pressure, the more impermeable the fabric. This waterproof jacket withstands a pressure of 5,000 mm water column (equivalent to a one-hour rain shower). To verify this, the MH500 rain jacket was placed under a shower for one hour with 60 l water/m²/h, simulating a heavy thunderstorm in the mountains.
