The breathability of a fabric is determined by its moisture permeability. During high exertion, it is important to wear breathable clothing to avoid getting wet. Breathability is measured in RET (Resistance to Evaporative Transfer), which indicates the resistance a fabric offers to water vapor. The lower the factor, the more breathable the fabric: RET ≤ 3: extremely breathable, RET ≤ 6: very breathable, RET ≤ 12: breathable.
