With three large, easy-to-access zippered pockets on the front, the Surge offers plenty of organization. The updated FlexVent suspension system, certified by the American Chiropractic Association, features articulated shoulder straps, a rounded back panel, comfortable stitch lines, and soft-touch chemise fabric. It has a stand-up design and a dedicated, highly protective laptop compartment. The large main compartment is suitable for books and binders. The front compartment includes internal organization with secure-zip pockets and a padded tablet sleeve. An external, fleece-lined pocket is perfect for sunglasses, a phone, or keys. Two durable, external water bottle pockets can easily double as multi-use pockets with quick-draw smartphone access on one side. There are also two external J-zip pockets, one lined with fleece. The bag includes bottom compression, a webbing daisy chain for lash points, and 360-degree reflectivity. It features a comfortable, padded top handle, a sternum strap with a whistle buckle, and a removable waist belt.
