Therefore, on cold days near freezing, no additional jacket is needed. Additionally, the material is windproof and water-repellent. High-stress wear areas, such as the shoulders, elbows, and forearms, are reinforced against abrasion. A heavy hiking backpack can be comfortably carried on the material. The wind flap, Velcro closure on the arm, and cord stopper at the hem and collar enhance the pleasant wearing comfort and individual fit. The stand-up collar protects the neck and throat from icy cold or wind. Effective retention of body heat makes moisture management very important. Excess heat or moisture from sweat is directed outward. Moreover, the material dries quickly.
