Normani Boondock

The classic Boonie Hat, commonly known as a wide-brim hat, originally gained fame as a tropical hat for the US Army. Even 55 years later, it remains highly popular and is increasingly marketed as a piece of clothing for everyone. With its wide brim, it reliably protects the head and face from sunlight. In its durable ripstop design, the lightweight Boonie Hat is particularly tear-resistant and robust, yet it can also be rolled up and tucked into a pocket.

Four ventilation holes with insect mesh prevent small insects from getting in, while the breathable, skin-friendly cotton fabric ensures pleasant air circulation, enhancing wearing comfort. Even the wind while driving in an open off-road vehicle won’t blow the bush hat off your head once the chin strap's cord lock is tightened. The surrounding loop band features 12 MOLLE loops, which were originally used as a holder for inserting ammunition. Nowadays, smaller branches, twigs, or grass clumps are primarily inserted there for camouflage purposes.

A significant difference from the fishing hat is the narrower brim and much greater flexibility. This allows the hat to be rolled up compactly and easily stored in a pants or jacket pocket for transport.
