In 1979, our customers at our store at the Ballenberg East entrance repeatedly asked for "Edelweiss shirts." At first, we didn't quite know what that was! So we set out to find out, but we couldn't find a supplier anywhere. Eventually, we found a weaving mill, bought fabric, and hired a seamstress. We created patterns and soon had a small collection put together. Children's shirts and women's blouses made from Edelweiss fabric were a real sensation. They were nowhere else to be found. Since then, we have continuously renewed and adapted our range. Thus, it was born.
