In 1979, our customers at our store at the Ballenberg East entrance repeatedly asked for "Edelweiss shirts." At first, we weren't quite sure what that was! So we set out to find out, but we couldn't find a supplier anywhere. Eventually, we found a weaving mill, bought fabric, and hired a seamstress. We created patterns and soon had a small collection together. Children's shirts and women's blouses made from Edelweiss fabric were a real sensation. They were nowhere to be found before. Since then, we have continuously updated and adapted our collection. Thus, it was born.
