In 1979, our customers at our store at the Ballenberg East entrance repeatedly inquired about "Edelweiss shirts." At first, we weren't quite sure what that was! So we set out to find out, but we couldn't find a supplier anywhere. Eventually, we found a weaving mill, purchased fabric, and hired a seamstress. We created patterns and soon had a small collection. Children's shirts and women's blouses made from Edelweiss fabric were a real sensation. They were not available anywhere else. Since then, we have continuously renewed and adapted our collection. Thus, it was born.
