Product details

NEW: Noble light azure blue, dark green and plum. Available from summer 2023
Edel light short-sleeved shirt with collar
Lightweight Edelweiss shirts  made from our lightweight Edelweiss fabric
100% cotton, shearling pattern, washable at 40°C (please note our care instructions).
Light Edelweiss fabric
The fabric is made of 100% light cotton. The light weave and the absence of synthetic fibres create a summer fabric with fantastic wearing properties. Natural fibres such as cotton are highly absorbent, have a balancing effect and are low-odour.  "Scherli" is the name for an elaborate type of patterning. A pattern (e.g. Edelweiss) is woven into a base fabric using additional weft threads. These connecting threads lie loosely on the back of the fabric. They are cut off after weaving. This used to be done by hand with scissors, but is now done by machine. Hence the name "Scherli". This makes it possible to weave a light yet robust Edelweiss fabric from 100% cotton.
