Cap made from G-1000 Original with a relatively flat top and a short brim that serves as sun protection and prevents rain from getting into the eyes. G-1000 Original is a durable and adaptable material from Fjällräven. The dense fabric is wind and water-resistant and very robust, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 is made from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which is treated with a thin layer of Greenland wax. The wax provides additional protection against dirt, wind, and moisture and can be easily reapplied or washed out as needed. In addition to protecting against wind and weather, G-1000 also shields against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites.
It is good to know that fluorocarbons are harmful to living beings and the environment. Most of Fjällräven's water- and down-resistant products are 100% fluorocarbon-free. To maintain the waterproof performance, Fjällräven recommends regularly spraying the products with fluorocarbon-free impregnation spray.
