This makes it an ideal garment for hikes and ski tours, serving both as a base layer directly on the skin and as a mid-layer. Thermolite fabrics and insulations offer warmth and comfort without weight, even when wet. Because they are comfortable and lightweight, Thermolite fabrics and insulations provide freedom of movement, making them a perfect layer. Their hollow fibers trap air, giving the lightweight, durable fabrics a particularly high insulation effect.
