The insole supports the natural shape of the transverse arch of the foot and prevents its lowering, also known as flatfoot. The longitudinal arch support aids the ankles and prevents the sinking of the longitudinal arch of the foot, commonly referred to as fallen arches. The leather surface absorbs moisture that occurs in the shoe and reduces the possibility of foot burning.
