The frame of the Rift is made from a durable thermoplastic elastomer, and the lenses are polycarbonate with an anti-scratch coating. So even if you drop the Rift on your bike ride to the ice cream shop, everything will still be fine. To prevent that from happening in the first place, the nose pads are individually adjustable, and the temple tips are rubberized. This ensures that the Rift sits comfortably and securely on your head.
