3. Cohiba Short

The Cohiba Short is with a length of only 82 mm small as a mini cigarillo, but has a diameter of 10.6 mm a much larger circumference. In the filler blend, the same high-quality top tobacco is used as already in the very successful Cohiba Mini and Cohiba Club. Due to the significantly larger diameter, however, the unique Cohiba aroma unfolds even better, the taste is soft and round, the cigarillo shows no sharpness. The product presentation is also original. Packed are the Cohiba Short namely in an exclusive "click box" with innovative opening mechanism. This type of packaging is used exclusively for the Cohiba Short and underlines the premium claim of the new range. In addition, each Cohiba Short comes with a ring in the new Cohiba design and is individually wrapped in cellophane for protection. Like the Cohiba Mini and Club, the new Short is made exclusively in Havana at Internacional Cubana de Tabacos S.A., the factory where all Mini Cubanos are made, from 100% of the finest Cuban tobacco. ICT employees took special care in the production of the Cohiba Short. The goal was to create a cigarillo that could actually be a small substitute for a Cohiba when the occasion arises. And they succeeded.

6. La Aurora training kit

With the La Aurora Training Kit, you will learn to recognize and identify different notes and aromas in cigar smoke. Professional cigar tasters experience a variety of tastes and aromas when enjoying a cigar. Many people believe this is nonsense and that tobacco simply tastes like tobacco. However, if that were true, what would be the difference between different cigars? Why do you prefer one particular cigar over another? Not all cigars taste the same, and the subtle nuances make the difference. Being able to perceive these subtleties is a matter of practice. La Aurora, a cigar factory from the Dominican Republic, is launching the world's first training set that allows aficionados to develop and refine their sensory skills.

The set contains a box with four "Pure grade" cigars in Corona format. "Pure grade," also known as "Perritos," are cigars made from a single variety of tobacco, enabling professionals to test the quality of the leaves and the fermentation phase. Additionally, they can build on this basic taste and decide which tobaccos to add to the final blend. These four "Pure grade" individual cigars are the components of the finished composition Preferidos No.3 from the La Aurora 1903 Edition, which is also included in this set.

A special highlight of this box is the "Barber Pole" cigar, a multi-cover cigar that contains different wrapper leaves on various parts of the cigar, six in total. The wrapper especially reveals differences in the taste of a cigar. Light this cigar and experience the differences and the development of flavors over the course of the smoking time.

Expert tip: To truly perceive all the nuances in a cigar, let the smoke pass through your nose, as it detects many aromas and flavors that escape the palate.

10. Camacho Connecticut

We all know the typical Connecticut story: light, golden, incredibly mild, and incredibly boring. Clearly below the Camacho standard. So, Camacho has rewritten the story. More flavors, more convincing, and certainly good enough to earn a place at our table.

The Camacho Connecticut offers the perfect tasting experience for those looking for a mild alternative without sacrificing flavor. Here, boldness meets gentleness.

The Camacho Connecticut is the best-selling line and delivers an intense creaminess that flirts with the spice and sweetness of the Honduran Criollo-Seco binder. Honduran Criollo 98 and Honduran Corojo 99 fillers, along with the Honduran Criollo-Seco tobacco, provide maximum flavor. The Connecticut wrapper holds the strong blend together and adds the finishing touch to the flavor explosion of wood, pepper, cream, and nuts.

A robust, malty lager underpins the creaminess of the cigar and leaves a lasting impression.

Tasting Report:
Cigar exterior: finely shiny wrapper.
Cigar interior: medium rolling, good craftsmanship.
Smoke: creamy with a slight sweetness at medium smoke volume.
Flavor: wood, pepper, nuts.
Burn: good burn behavior.
