2. Riva Alva lime

Hard, calcium-rich water is a well-known problem in most Swiss municipalities. Particularly in the canton of Jura, Basel-Land, and the Mittelland region, hard to very hard water can be expected. Hard water has numerous disadvantages: in addition to the scaling of fixtures and household appliances, the consumption of detergents and cleaning agents increases. Furthermore, the taste of beverages and food is negatively affected. After a long development process by engineers at Riva Water Filter Technology, we are finally able to offer a chemical-free, biological filtration solution. The working principle of our lime filter Riva Alva Lime is based on the natural principle of seed crystal formation. As soon as the drinking water comes into contact with our granulate, the calcium contained in it begins to grow in the form of tiny crystals on the granulate. These calcium crystals are washed away from the surface of the granulate and flushed out through the piping system, without being able to settle on other surfaces. This significantly reduces lime deposits on surfaces and in household appliances. The filter cartridge needs to be replaced after 6 months. The recommended maximum flow rate is 8000 liters. Depending on the water quality, particularly with noticeably reduced water flow, a filter cartridge change may also be necessary at shorter intervals.

3. Riva rivaAlva

The rivaAlva Life filter cartridge is a sintered activated carbon block filter cartridge designed for drinking water treatment. It is both plastic-free and food-safe, and is produced in an environmentally friendly manner from renewable resources in Germany. Contaminant retention occurs through three principles of activated carbon: The filter's fineness of 20 µm retains particles larger than the filter pores. Based on mechanical action, suspended particles, rust particles, and microplastics are retained, for example. Through catalytic action, certain substances such as chlorine and chlorine compounds can be transformed, so they no longer exist in their original form. Thanks to the adsorptive effect, additional contaminants can be absorbed by adhering directly to the activated carbon and remaining there. Organic compounds such as pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, heavy metals like lead and copper, pharmaceutical residues, hormones, and taste-altering substances can also be retained.

4. Riva Filter cartridge

Filter Cartridge rivaALVA LIFE-EM

The rivaALVA LIFE-EM filter cartridge is a sintered activated carbon block filter cartridge that is enriched with EM ceramic powder
during production. EM stands for effective microorganisms. The EM ceramic is made from a specially fired clay that contains organic material from plants that are millions of years old and serve as food for the effective microorganisms (EM) during the multi-month fermentation process. EM ceramic contributes to a reduction in the surface tension of water and the size of cluster structures.

The filter cartridge is food-safe and is produced in an environmentally friendly manner in Germany using renewable raw materials.

Contaminant Retention

Contaminant retention is achieved through three principles of activated carbon: The filter fineness of 20 µm retains particles larger than the filter pores. Based on mechanical action, suspended particles, rust particles, and microplastics are retained. Through catalytic action, certain substances such as chlorine and chlorine compounds can be transformed, meaning they no longer exist in their original form. The adsorptive action allows for the uptake of additional contaminants, which adhere directly to the activated carbon and remain there. Thanks to this adsorptive action, organic compounds such as pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, heavy metals like lead and copper, pharmaceutical residues, hormones, and taste-altering substances can be retained.

Flow Rate: approx. 9-11 liters per minute at 3 bar
Filter Fineness: approx. 20 µm
Dimensions: 7 x 7 cm

Service Life

The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). The recommended maximum throughput is 7000 liters, depending on water quality, especially in cases of noticeably reduced water flow.

5. Riva Filter cartridge MULTI Replacement cartridge

Riva Multi Filter Cartridge

Description
The Riva Multi filter cartridge is a hollow fiber membrane filter cartridge designed for drinking and shower water treatment.
With a filter fineness of 0.2 µm, it effectively retains bacteria and germs as well as dissolved pollutants such as microplastics and particles or suspended solids. The filter cartridge is food-safe and certified and manufactured in Germany.

Pollutant Retention
The filter cartridge has a high retention rate for the following pollutants, confirmed by independent laboratories:
- Bacteria such as Legionella, Pseudomonas, E. coli, Enterococci
- Microplastics and particles or suspended solids larger than the filter fineness

Flow Rate
Approximately 10 liters per minute at 3 bar

Filter Fineness
Approximately 0.2 µm

Dimensions
7 x 7 cm

Service Life
The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). The recommended maximum throughput is 7000 liters. Depending on water quality, especially if there is a noticeable reduction in water flow, a filter cartridge change may also be necessary at shorter intervals.
