Colour: Rich ruby red with strong violet reflections. Aroma: Lush, black berry nose of stewed blueberries, cassis, cherries and plums, spicy and peppery with a roasted hint of cocoa and an earthy, licoricey touch. Body: Very long attack, distinctive tannins, velvety structure, seductive flavours of dark fruits on the palate, long-lasting finish. Quality: Powerful, surprisingly full-bodied wine with ageing potential.
