Gallura is located in the far northeast of Sardinia and is primarily known for the Costa Smeralda, with its white beaches, the emerald green color of the water, and the bizarrely shaped granite rocks. In this Sardinian wine-growing region, the grape varieties Vermentino and Cannonau find ideal growing conditions. Bruno Zanatta values precision and hard work on the second-largest island in the Mediterranean, which is directly reflected in his wines. The cooler climate of Gallura compared to the rest of the island, along with significant temperature differences between day and night, is evident in the exceptional aromatic density of Zanatta's Vermentino. Cannonau is another specialty of the island, thriving particularly well in the warm south. This results in fruity wines with delicate tannins. Only the best selection of Cannonau grapes is used for the Tarara Riserva.
